The Sam Maguire Visitor Experience is open every from 1st July to 15th September from 12-4pm. Visit Sam's grave, church and ring the Sam Maguire Community Bells which were installed in 2017 to remember Sam.
There is a selection of videos to watch as part of the Sam Maguire Visitor Experience at St. Mary's and we are on the Sam Maguire Passport Trail, which is a free fun activity journey around Sam's hometown of Dunmanway where you collect stamps and discover the main aspects of Sam's life though puzzles and challenges.

St. Mary's Church in Dunmanway, Co. Cork is the burial place of Sam Maguire who is remembered by the cup donated to the GAA in 1928 to be presented as the All-Ireland senior football trophy. In 2017, we installed eight bells to remember Sam Maguire and to tell the story of the man behind the cup. |
St. Mary's Church is open everyday in July and August from 12noon to 4pm for visitors to drop in and learn about Sam Maguire and to ring the Sam Maguire Community Bells that have been installed in his memory. Group and advance bookings are welcome at other times, by emailing tours@fanlobbus.ie Visiting Sam's grave and the church that he attended as a child is free. |

We make a small charge for ringing the bells and giving a guided tour of the ringing room and telling you Sam's story in a fun and interactive way through documentary videos and the eight themes of the bells.
