To remember the story of the man behind the famous Sam Maguire cup, we have installed eight bells in the tower of St. Mary's Church to tell his story as an interactive experience. These bells (right) have been installed up in the tower of the church and can be rung by children and adults who come to visit Sam Maguire's burial place. |

Each of the eight bells has a theme, through which we tell the story of Sam Maguire. His upbringing, education, travel to England, his contribution to the Irish struggle for freedom, his love of the GAA and the sad story of the end of his life. |
